I’m not going to make you wait till the end of the post to find out what that is….

I wish they would’ve said “You can do anything you want to do, and you can be anything you want to be!

And why do I tell you at the beginning, I guess so I can take you back and share the story. I was born and raised in Montana second from the youngest of nine. Yep HUGE family. It was awesome! I have three brothers and five sisters and if I took the time to count them 20+ nieces and nephews and more than that in the great nieces and nephews arena. Growing up with built in friends was amazing, but you sometimes you felt you got lost among the mass. Forgotten at the bowling alley maybe…but I digress, I’ll have to save that for another day.

I may not have any kids myself, but I have had lots of kids around me most of my life. The one thing I knew growing up was that my siblings always had my back. We may fight and we may get in trouble together, but no matter what they always had my back. I also knew growing up that my parents loved me. They didn’t verbalize it well (that changed as we all became adults and shared those feelings better), but they definitely showed me by their actions. I knew they were there. I knew they would support me. And, like my siblings I knew they had my back. But what they didn’t do, and looking back, I wish they would have done, was actually said the words out loud…

You can do and be anything you want to do and be.

Why would that make a difference? Think about it, if the most powerful people in your life right now told you that, what would you do? Truly what would you do? How would you feel? Would it make the next decision easier to make? Would it give you confidence you had never had before?

What if something that was going to change your life and take you in the direction of your dreams was the next decision you were about to make?

Well let me be the one to tell you…

You can do and be anything you want to do and be…so go out there and be the best of whatever it is you want to be. BuildU! And I look forward to being among the first to congratulate you on your strength and success in your life!
