I have learned a lot in my lifespan. Here are the 45 lessons I have come up with.

  • Love your body. Be ok with stretch marks, your extra 5 pounds.
  • Be ok with the fact that some people don’t like you or your personality, You are not for everyone.
  • Learn to forgive and move on. Grudges just take too much of your energy.
  • Learn to laugh at yourself, don’t take yourself to seriously.
  • When having a bad day, dance it out.
  • Life isn’t always fair but it is good.
  • See the good in people, don’t judge situations, you don’t know what is going on behind closed doors.
  • You don’t have to agree with everyone, but you should agree to disagree.
  • It’s ok for your children to see you cry.
  • Take vacations! Even day-cations and stay-cations!
  • Eat the fries. Just do it in moderation.
  • Have more lunch dates and dinner dates with your friends.
  • Never stop dating your spouse.
  • Life is too short for a long pity-party. So make it short and get back to living.
  • You can get through anything, if you stay focused and present in today.
  • Everyday is a special occasion, you are alive. Eat the dessert first, use the special dishes…stop saving those things, today is special.
  • Be organized.
  • Over-prepare, then you are ready for anything.
  • You are in charge of your own happiness.
  • Be Bold. Be different.
  • Be a little crazy, love your Boy Band with no apologies. NKOTB forever
  • Time heals almost anything, just give it time.
  • Hold your kids. Enjoy every mistake and every accomplishment, these are memories.
  • Failure is optional, learn from it or don’t. Either way it will determine your outcome.
  • Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.
  • Embrace getting older….enjoy every piece of the journey.
  • Breathe in fresh air every single day.
  • When you look at the world in general, all your little problems don’t seem so bad.
  • Love everyone, you don’t have to like everyone but you should love everyone.
  • Don’t be jealous, celebrate others accomplishments.
  • Stay in touch with friends and family.
  • Believe in something.
  • Give back often.
  • Sing in the car, loudly.
  • Take long showers and reflect on your day.
  • Journal.
  • No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
  • Believe in yourself.
  • Breathe. Just breathe.
  • If you don’t ask, you don’t get.
  • It’s your life, don’t let others tell you how to live it.
  • Mourn your losses, then figure out how you can turn it into something that will help someone else to get through the same challenge.
  • Always be there when someone needs to talk, give them your time.
  • Always say I love you, genuinely.
  • There are always going to be more lessons to learn. Keep Going.

This is 45.
